Rome Wasn't Built In A Day, Neither Were Great Careers - 3 Things That Work

There are some people who always seem to have it together better than the rest. They 'over achieve', are 'born talented' and 'not everyone can do it'

While one can endlessly debate on talent and hard work, the fact is, it's not handed on a platter.

Unfortunately, we don't see everything these amazing people do and jump to conclusions. Here are 3 timeless habits that can help you get there:

#1 Build Your Foundations.

Everyone starts with a blank page. It's crucial to understand the 'why' and 'how' when you begin. Mindless action is as good as reading a book when watching TV.

Take it slow but work on the basics. This is something we've been guilty of not doing (and that's okay). Fortunately, we can always unlearn and relearn.

“I don't know what's the matter with people: they don't learn by understanding, they learn by some other way — by rote or something. Their knowledge is so fragile!” ― Richard Feynman

#2 Consistency Over Motivation.

Compound Interest is real. Putting in the reps every day is what gives results.

Motivation is inconsistent. Inconsistent work leads to inconsistent results.

Top athletes don't skip days in the gym because 'they don't feel like it'. It's second nature after a point.

“Understanding both the power of compound interest and the difficulty of getting it is the heart and soul of understanding a lot of things.” — Charlie Munger

#3 Results Don't Stop The Work

Winning once doesn't mean the work is done. Neither is winning twice or even 20 times. #2 is endless.
